Questions people ask before joining
Who is Hallo Indonesia for?
The main audience is international students in Indonesia, including exchange, BIPA, visiting, scholarship, and internship communities. Other adults aged 18+ may join when a program says they are eligible.
Is there a free program I can join first?
Yes. Surabaya Starter Quest is a complete, free, self-guided program with onboarding, four Missions, and a private My Journey space. It has no live event or group attendance requirement.
When does a paid reservation exist?
Only after successful payment. Creating an account or opening checkout does not hold a seat or create a paid reservation.
How much is the live Surabaya program?
USD 100 per participant. Payment is processed in USD through PayPal and is non-refundable.
When did the first live program begin?
Mlaku-Mlaku Nang Suroboyo began on Saturday, 8 August 2026. The next city sessions are 15 and 22 August, followed by the two-day Pujon Kidul Grand Trip on 29–30 August 2026.
What happens after payment?
Your confirmed program appears in My Journey with onboarding, dates, announcements, tasks, check-in guidance, attendance, and next actions.
Can universities coordinate a group?
Yes. Universities can request a dedicated group, place students into a mixed cross-campus cohort, or let students register independently.
Can I become a Buddy if my English is not perfect?
Yes. Choose the conversation level that honestly reflects your ability. Program Studio reviews language fit against each program need.
